Sometimes I have to remind myself that not everyone knows my background. It’s like, because I classified myself as a musician for so long (and still do when no one’s looking…), I forget that I’m not really in that category anymore. Or at least that people who know me now might not have every known me by that title. This is a mind-warp for me people, seriously. So a little part of me (ok, slightly larger that “little”) gets all giddy and happy at the thought of getting to work with musicians again. It instantly makes me want to go pull out my trombone and practice or do scales on the piano. Ok, not really the part about scales. I hate scales. But you get my drift.
See that guy up there? That’s Dave. He’s an actual musician. He’s just wrapping up his masters degree at APU, getting ready to do a Masters Recital and plays one heck of a mean cello. And yes, there is such a thing as a mean cello. Trust me.
He also trusts me when I say something along the lines of “oooh ooOOOH!! That picture of the ties would be AWESOME for a photo!”. Oh Dave. THANK YOU for trusting me.
And no people, that is most definitely NOT a photo-shopped image. That’s the real deal baby. Now you know why I wanted to use that giant photo so bad.
Another reason why I enjoyed working with Dave (and his wife Claire) They brought their adorable corgi (holla!) Carson with them. I had very serious thoughts about stealing him. After all, he’d be a great buddy for MY corgi. They could hardly blame me. Right?
More blog posts coming. Like, at least 4. Maybe 10. We’ll see.
