:: meet mr. phillip ::

So since this blog is about more than just shoots and also about documenting my life as a person/mom/wife/friend/artist etc., that means I need to remember to keep posting the personal stuff too. In a way, I look at the blog as probably the only semi-consistent form of documentation I’ll have during some of the busiest years of my life, PLUS it’s a chance for people (clients included) to get a look into who I actually am, not just “the Photographer”.

That being said, ISN’T HE ADORABLE? I’m totally smitten with our godson, Mr. Phillip. This little dude had a sort of rough start to life and has already had two surgeries, but he’s more than surviving, he’s thriving. I’ve been itching to take some real pictures of this kiddo since we met him for the first time and finally remembered to bring my camera when we headed out to Eric & Karen’s place for an awesome bbq (PS – Eric made pork ribs that were ahhh-maz-ing). At only 10 days older than Cameron, they’re destined to be buddies. It’s actually a lot of fun to see what milestones and growth patterns the two of them have. Both are big for their age and both are ahead in milestones. Both have hair that takes after their daddies, which means Mr. Phillip is mostly bald (his dad has a shaved head) and Cam’s mane is uncontrollable.;)Speaking of ahead for milestones, they’re both ahead in different areas. For example, Mr. Phillip can stand. No seriously, the kid can stand up at a few weeks shy of 6 months. All he needs is a finger or two to help balance, but the standing part is all him.

Look at those blue eyes! Soo cute!

I think poor Phillip was confused about Cameron’s crazy wild man hair. He stared at it for a long time like he was thinking “What IS that stuff?”. Look how he’s even holding Cam’s arm.:)Of course, we had to take some pics of our own cutie-patootie too. Love this kiddo.

One more cuz he’s sooo cute.:)

I would have taken pictures of the pork ribs and the roasted veggies and the cheesecake and the strawberries… but I was way too busy eating it. Besides, who wants amazing maple rosemary bbq sauce all over their camera? It’s totally embarrassing to just start licking the thing…
